KonaPDF automates the creation of Postscript files KonaPDF will save you time and frustration when making PDFs from lots of QuarkXPress documents. Manually, it's a chore, and it's easy to make mistakes.KonaPDF automates the creation of Postscript files and dumps them in a watched folder ready for Acrobat Distiller to convert into PDFs. It can handle single pages and two-page spreads.You just select the folder containing the Quark documents, then choose the Distiller watched folder. It's as simple as that.Most of the time you'll want to output low-resolution PDFs as proofs for clients. But KonaPDF can output high-resolution PDFs too. Choose the low-resolution option and 300dpi Postscript files are output quickly for Acrobat Distiller to work on. Choose high-resolution and 2400dpi Postscript files are output; of course, your Distiller settings will need to be high resolution (Press Quality) too in order to obtain high resolution PDFs. And these high resolution PDFs will be "plain vanilla" ones with no allowances for crops and trims, bleeds etc.What's New in This Release:· Now works with OS X 10.4 Tiger. · Tiger users will need to update the Script extension in their Quark extensions folder. The extension is included in the Output Enhancements XTensions software (user mode) for QuarkXPress and QuarkXPress Passport 6.5 available from the QuarkXPress websiteRequirements:· Mac OS X 10.3.9 (now works with 10.4 Tiger ) · QuarkXPress 6.5 · Acrobat Distiller 6 · Mac OS system language set to British · Default printer set to a Postscript printer · For KonaPDF to run smoothly, QuarkXPress should be running and all required fonts loaded and active.
