KnockoutDock - Applescript and shell script combo, designed to make the Dock as un-obtrusive as possible KnockoutDock is a free and simple Applescript and shell script combo, designed to make the Dock as un-obtrusive as possible without losing the features of Expose, Dashboard, Application switching or ScreenSaver Hot Corners.KnockoutDock will resize the dock to it's smallest possible size and pin it from the top right hand corner of the screen, right on the edge of the menu bar. It will also turn off magnification, application icon bouncing on launch and for those annoying alerts. The KnockoutDock script will simply write some defaults to the dock's .plist file that would otherwise require a trip to the terminal or the use of a flashy GUI program with bells and whistles.Restore the dock: If you hate what has been done to your dock, don't panic, you can run KnockOutDock again and choose the 'Restore Settings' button. This will restore your previously backed up dock preference file, located at ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.bak.!!WARNING!! If you press the 'KnockoutDock' button a second time in a row, you will destroy your chance of automatically restoring your previously unmodified dock settings.NOTE: On Mac OS X 10.5 or later KnockoutDock will hide your dock and you will not be able to use it until you will restore it. Use this application at YOUR OWN RISK.
