Simple image management library for your Mac Jimi is a free, simple, small, easy to use library for managing images. Jimi's primary function is image I/O. Jimi was formerly a product of Activated Intelligence. Sun is making it available for developers who have code with dependencies on Jimi or for those who need image I/O functionality in applications running under 1.1.x versions of the Java Platform. Jimi's range of supported formats includes GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PICT, Photoshop, BMP, Targa, ICO, CUR, Sunraster, XBM, XPM, and PCX, although some of these formats do not have complete support for all features. For developers interested in image I/O on the Java 2 Platform the Java Image I/O API has been available since Java 2 version 1.4.0.The Java Advanced Imaging Image I/O Tools package set available via the Java Advanced Imaging home page provides an additional conformant set of plug-ins for the Java Image I/O API.
