Javeau Description

Encrypted storage tool, free and cross-platform Javeau is a free and open source small tool meant to provide an easy way to create and use encrypted directories, using strong cryptography and a simple interface. Data stored in these folders are encrypted and safe (using 256 bit encryption); they can be accessed only by you - providing the password you used to create the folder - and their integrity is checked to prevent data tampering. Requirements: · Java 1.6 or later What's New in This Release: · Now the random number generator gets seeded with 256 bit of strong entropy gathered from www.randomnumbers.info, if an internet connection is available. · The application now locks a secure folder on access, to prevent concurrent modifications · When a filesystem view points to a secure folder, the field showing the path is colored in yellow. · A backup of the index file gets created on saving, for added robustness. · Minor UI fixes.
