Free Java component for mail management functions JMailNotify is the 100% pure Enterprise Java Bean (EJB) component designed for covering mail management functions in any enterprise application. Implementing standards defined in RFC 821, RFC 822 and RFC 1521 the JMailNotify component is capable of sending both simple and rich-text e-mail messages as well as one or more file attachments. JMailNotify also includes event and template management. Here are some key features of "JMailNotify": · File Attachment Support · The JMailNotify component provides a simple API for adding one or more attachments to an E-mail message. Using this API, one or more attachments can be easily added. · E-mail Address Validation · The JMailNotify component supports all valid e-mail address formats specified in RFC 822. It offers syntax validation of address, prior to sending e-mail message. This capability reduces network traffic from bounced e-mail messages and provides a way of systematically identifying invalid e-mail addresses. · Message Priorities · For e-mail clients, which support message priorities, the SMTP component allows prioritization of e-mail messages. A message with "highest" priority would potentially give the message higher visibility in a recipient's mailbox. · Template Management · This feature includes creating, storing, removing templates with user-defined set of tags, and creating mail messages based on specific template. This is very useful, for example, for fast creating and sending a bulk of messages to different recipients, inserting their names and addresses into the predefined template instead of tags. It allows customized message for every recipient in a very easy way. · Event Management · The main purpose of this feature is to simplify some predefined mail sending in some common situations (for example, registration notifications sending, error messages handling etc.). This includes creating, storing, removing events, and associating events with templates. It is possible to assign one template to any number of events. When some event happens, predefined message associated with this event name and constructed from associated template and given set of values, that should replace template tags, will be sent.
