Once you've practiced with using the numeric keypad in this way you may find that you can enter distances very quickly. The virtual tape will let you scroll through and verify distances whenever there is an error. You can also enter any imperial unit of measure. If you type 1 with no marks, the unit is set by the output control: inches; ft in; yards; miles As you cycle through these measurement units, you'll notice that the distance displayed is automatically converted.
