Host File Helper Description
A Firefox add-on that lets you change host files Here are the main steps that you have to follow to see how the Host File Helper extension works: · After you have installed it, a new menu tab, called "Host Files", will appear in the main menu · Simply select the host file you want to use from the list and your page will be refreshed automatically. · This affects all applications that use your host file - and all browsers. · But most applications and browsers will require a restart for the changes to take effect. (Except Firefox.) · To get the changes to take affect for Internet Explorer, put it in offline mode and then back in online mode and refresh the page. · You can create new host files, rename your existing ones, and edit them with this new menu. · When editing a host file, you can search through it by using the Find form. (Which is still a little buggy, sorry.) · When the editor has focus (when you click inside of it or tab into it), pressing the TAB key will insert a tab character instead of moving to the next form field.NOTE: The Host File Helper add-on is cross-platform and it works on Windows, Linux and Mac OS. Requirements: · Firefox
