Gjrand Description

Free and open source pseudo-random number generator The Gjrandproject is about pseudo-random number generation for the purpose of simulations, Monte-Carlo integration, computer games and the like. It is intended that statistical properties be extremely good for such purposes. However, Gjrandis not suitable as a high security random number generator for the state lottery draw, cryptography, etc.Currently, Gjrandprovides a C programmer's library with generators for:· Uniform integers· Uniform floating point· Normal distribution· "Student" T distribution· Poisson distribution· and a few othersand also statistical testing programs that can be used to test the Gjrandlibrary, or other supposedly random data:· A test suite for uniform bits· A test suite for uniform floating point numbers· A test suite for normally distributed numbers· Minor tests for other gjrand features Requirements: · C compiler What's New in This Release: · more gjrand_chisquared() tweaks. · testother/onsphere, insphere, poker, testunif/addsub, crlf, metachi, selfcor: fixed initialisation of counter arrays. The problem was that some arrays weren't explitly zeroed. Most systems probably zero them anyway, but i fixed it just in case. · tweak to gjrand_chisquared(), faster, makes a different sequence.
