Python-based ice-breaker external for Hermes BBS. Get-To-Know-You presents the BBS visitor with 35 questions in an easy-to-use menu. Some are easy to answer, while others require a little more thought. The questions are designed to give other users a well-rounded, in-depth view of a user's personality; assuming of course, that they provide honest answers.All answers are stored in a database. Other visitors can type a "V" in order to view a user's responses in a "user snapshot", or a "L" to list all current users of the external. Users can easily change their answers at any time from the main window.For a live example of Get-To-Know-You, log on to the Armageddon BBS by using a telnet client, such as snycTERM, and go to:endtimeprophecy.org port 23The Armageddon BBS is also accessible via our webpage at:http://www.endtimeprophecy.org/Armageddon/ArmageddonBBS.htmlHowever, it is preferable to use a telnet client such as syncTERM, as it supports all PC-ANSI characters and styles, plus scrollback, whereas the web interface does not. syncTERM is available for Mac OS X only. Requirements: · Hermes II BBS software v3.5.10b3 or above. · Mac OS 9 (PPC) through Mac OS X Tiger. · MRJ 2.5 and MRJ SDK 2.2 installed in OS 9. · A dial-up or TCP/IP connection (DSL, cable modem, etc.)
