GeoRuby Description

GeoRuby provides geometric data types from the OGC Simple Features specification GeoRuby provides geometric data types from the OGC Simple Features specification. A plugin for Rails which manages PostGIS and MySQL geometric columns in a transparent way is also provided. The data model roughly follows the OGC Simple Features for SQL specification, although without any kind of advanced functionalities (such as geometric operators or reprojections). The library inputs and outputs EWKB, HexEWKB and EWKT.GeoRuby also comes with support for other stuff: some support for KML, GeoRSS, and SHP.NOTE: GeoRuby is licensed and distributed under the terms of the MIT/X Consortium License.
