An open source, intuitive and powerful Java based paint program for your Mac Flowpaint is a next generation paint program that focuses on usability and power. It's open source, cross platform, and supports pressure sensitive graphics tablets.UsageAlong the right side of the screen there are buttons for selectin the current brush. Just select a brush, press and hold the left mouse button over the canvas, and move the mouse to draw. Flowpaint also works with graphics tablets (although on some systems it may not detect the pressure).The brush textures are currently using the speed of the stroke as input - when you will draw faster, the textures will be more stretched, and when you will draw slower, they will be more dense. Here are some key features of "Flowpaint": · A procedural brush system with a set of hand-crafted brushes. · A quick-save feature that allows uninterrupted sketching. Requirements: · Java 1.5 or later What's New in This Release: · It adds undo, detailed parameters for brushes, a 'recent brushes' - feature, dramatical speedup by dynamically compiling code, and a new set of default brushes. · In addition tablets with pressure are now supported also with the Java Webstart version. Flowpaint is still in Beta phase, use with care.
