File Ref Terms - OSAX extension that defines two class names file reference for ease of reading and writing scripts File Ref Terms is a free AppleScript OSAX extension that will just define two class names file reference for "class fsrf" and file URL for "class furl" for ease of reading and writing scripts.Functionally, installation of this osax effects nothing (except for coercing the class name as string). But it can be useful until the class names are defined in AppleScript level.While the 'fsrf' type is less useful, the 'furl' type is sometimes used, even in Mac OS 9 (in AppleScript 1.8 or so). For example, result data of the standard osax command 'choose file name' is the 'furl' type in recent versions. (Originally the result was 'file specification' type, even in StandardAdditions.osax 1.6 in Mac OS X.)By the way, the data of the 'furl' is really URL. To get it, just change the type "furl" to "TEXT" (string) without coercion. You can do that if Apple Event Data OSAX is available.Installation: Move (or copy) the File Ref Terms OSAX extension into /Library/ScriptingAdditions folder. (If that folder does not exist, make it first by yourself.)
