AppleScript based app to check your mail using Mail.app Dial-up Mail Checker will automatically dial your connection, check your mail using Apple's Mail.app, an then hang up or keep the internet connection open if it is already in use. Dial-up Mail Checker is designed to work with timed or untimed phone calls, but also picks up if you have other active connections, such as broadband.If you want Dial-up Mail Checker to work on your Mac you will have to edit the app's script to set parameters.NOTE: If you have the sounds turned off in Mail.app, and have 'DisplayMailMessage' set to 'false' then you'll get no feedback when there's new mail; in fact, Dial-up Mail Checker will seem to be not working.
