DNActions Description

DNActions is a very easy to use Dashboard widget that enables you to apply certain actions on a DNA sequence. DNActions has all its tools organized in four modules: CompRev, Translate, CpG and Composition. DNActions can be used to determine the complement reverse of the DNA sequence or you can translate the proteins in all six reading frames. Furthermore, you can calculate the Tm (melting temperature) or composition, detect the CpG dinucleotides and more. To use DNActions, simply put the DNA sequence in the main text panel and press one of the buttons placed on the bottom of the main window. The widget will perform the necessary calculations and display the result in the text panel. Once the results are available, you can choose to copy them to your clipboard or clear the text panel and start a new process. The widget is able to make the calculations locally and does not require internet connection.
