ChromeMUSE Description

A Chrome add-on that shorten and expand URLs with different shortening service providers ChromeMUSE is an extension to facilitate the use of URL shortening services. A short URL can be generated for any web page, using the user's preferred shortening service. The short URL is automatically copied to the clipboard to paste into other applications.ChromeMUSE also automatically expands short URLs on any page, replacing the target URL with the original URL and displays the page title as a tooltip. The URL expansion for the ChromeMUSE is provided by the LongURL.org, which handles links from more than 200 services.Supports the following URL shortening services (more to be added upon request): ·3.ly ·bit.ly ·cli.gs ·goo.gl ·is.gd ·j.mp ·slki.ru ·TinyURL ·tr.im ·u.nu ·ur1.ca ·zi.ma Here are some key features of "ChromeMUSE": · Shorten URLs with one-click operation in Simple Mode. The shortened URL is automatically copied to clipboard. · Advanced Mode allows choice of service on the fly. The services to be listed in the dropdown menu can be configured in the options. · Supports login credentials, for services like bit.ly and cli.gs. · Scans web pages for short URLs and automatically updates the target URL. The title of the website is displayed as a tooltip when available. · Supports dynamically updated (AJAX) websites (eg. twitter.com) without having to refresh the page.
