CRML Description

Open source conflict resolution modeling language for your Mac CRML is basically a way of storing information about conflict resolution in a computer. Since the events are described in conflict in language anyway, you can think of CRML as a way for machines to try to interpret the way in which people try to resolve their differences.CRML has four major elements, Agents, Goals, Objects, and Actions. Agents are the people or groups in a conflict, Objects are the things they fight or negotiate over, Goals are the way they express what they want, and Actions are how they try to achieve them. By having users classify these elements, a simplified picture of what is happening in a conflict emerges. CRML lets scholars manage the complexity of recording and interpreting events and can streamline the collection of data.CRML is stored in an XML-based text file using RDF/OWL. CRML as an ontology will be available to the public as part of a system based on the idea of webservices. These webservices are built on the ideas of the semantic web. CRML and its tools will be for non-technical researchers to collect, model, and store information about all types of human conflict and their resolution. CRML is currently implemented in RDF and RDFS , and can be stored in its own database format using tools developed by the author, or in any RDF triple storage mechanism. There are plans to port to OWL as CRML matures. What's New in This Release: · Motivations and Intentions are abstracted. · All major classes and concepts are represented. · There are no constraints or inferencing other than domain, range, and subclass.
