Portable scriptable network and serial communication software for Unix and OpenVMS C-Kermit is a combined network and serial communication software package offering a consistent, transport-independent, cross-platform approach to connection establishment, terminal sessions, file transfer, file management, character-set translation, numeric and alphanumeric paging, and automation of file transfer, dialogs, and communication tasks through its built-in scripting language.C-Kermit is available for practically every known variation and version of Unix (incuding Mac OS X), past and present, on every architecture, and for DEC / HP VMS / Compaq / OpenVMS on VAX, Alpha, and IA64 / IPF. What's New in This Release: · INPUT /NOMATCH timeout (waits for the entire interval without trying to match anything; useful for scripted logging). · SET INPUT SCALE-FACTOR (lets you scale INPUT timeouts); v(inscale), SHOW INPUT. · ASK and GETOK /DEFAULT:text (lets you supply default answer). · FREAD /TRIM and FREAD /UNTABIFY. · funtabify(string). · ON_CD macro (if you define one, it executes automatically whenever you tell Kermit to change directories).
