Track billable hours and create invoices. Billable is an application for Mac OS X that will help you keep track of the billable services that you perform for a client and then lets you manage and create invoices based on those services. Here are some key features of "Billable": · Keep track of clients with a simple Client Editor. · Store per-client specific hourly rate defaults. · Import Clients from your Address Book. · Create Time-based Services with a time span and hourly rate; have Billable calculate the total cost for you. · Use the built in timer to start and stop a service. · View time progress of an active service via the badged dock icon. · Create Flat Fee Services and specify a manual total cost. · Select services you want to get paid for and create invoices with a single click. · Edit invoice attributes, including: Due Date, Partial Payments, Optional Messages, etc. · Customize the HTML template used to generate the PDF invoices and make the invoices appear how you want them to appear. · Use the source list to get a quick overview of unpaid invoices, services that have not been invoiced; filter down through the client hierarchy and limit the selection to a given client. · Billable also provides support for exporting data into XML. · In-application Software Update makes staying up-to-date a breeze. Limitations: · Full-feature 30 day trial period. What's New in This Release: · Added an item in the Application menu that will allow users to copy an AppleScript file from the bundle into their Application Support folder. Billable will now look to run this AppleScript file before using its built-in AppleScript. By editing this script users can do custom subject lines as well and other cosmetic changes as well as script unsupported Email applications. · Added an item in the Application menu (in the pattern of the above feature) that will copy the default HTML template file from the bundle into their Application Support folder. Billable will use this template to generate the PDF invoice if present. For more info see the help file. · Updated the help file article on customizing templates and added a new one on customizing emails. · Refactored KQueue code to watch the invoice template after it is first copied into the Application Support folder. · Added small code to kick start background update notification. For some reason the current trunk of SparklePlus isn’t doing so.
