Amplitude Imposer Description
Imposes the amplitude envelope of one (stereo) signal onto another (stereo) signal Amplitude Imposer takes 2 stereo inputs and imposes the amplitude envelope of the first one on the second one. Also has a threshold level for the second input, so that when the signal falls below it, it is amplified up to the threshold, to give a greater signal to be amplitude modulated. You will need a relatively flexible host (i.e. one that allows you to have 4 inputs and 2 outputs for an effect). Can also be set to amplify the second signal to get a more consistent level. How it works is: when the second signal's amplitude envelope goes below a certain threshold, it is amplified back up to the threshold (kind of like a compressor working in reverse). It should be noted that doing this tends to expose any low level noise in the signal fairly quickly. The Amplitude Imposer audio plugin has 4 inputs and 2 outputs – as such, it may not be possible for you to use Amplitude Imposer in all hosts. You probably want to use it in a modular host like Tracktion etc.NOTE: Amplitude Imposer is licensed and provided under the terms of the MIT License. What's New in This Release: · First release.
