Adobe After Effects CS4 and Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 plug-in for reading CinemaDNG video streams The CinemaDNG Importer is a free plug-in that adds support to Adobe After Effects CS4 and Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 for reading CinemaDNG video streams in the form of MXF files and DNG file sequences. When film is used as the capture medium, cinematographers take great care when handling source film footage. Developed in response to the move to digital capture by many cinematographers, CinemaDNG is a digital replacement for film negatives that helps cinematographers ensure that their digitally captured scenes retain their pristine quality so they can be used to deliver the film’s artistic vision. CinemaDNG is similar to the popular DNG format used for digital still photography but adds elements to specifically support digital cinema workflows.Installation: Copy the file CinemaDNG.bundle to: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS4/MediaCore. Once the plug-in is installed, the feature is available via the File > Import… menu in Premiere Pro CS4 and the File > Import > File… menu in After Effects CS4. CinemaDNG files may have a .mxf or .cdng (wrapper file) or .dng (frames stored in folder structure) extension.
