pology-servicemenu Description

A very simple service menu to assist KDE translators With pology-servicemenu you'll be able to use Pology from the comfort of your file browser.It allows you to:- check your translation for inconsistencies against standards set by your team,- check your spelling and grammar - check for bad XML tags,- generate and install a MO from a PO file- convert a template file (POT) into a PO ready for translation.You can run the tests separately or as a whole on as many PO as you like. The results will be written in a text file named after the PO with an appropriate suffix (e.g. kgeography_spelling.txt).Unfortunately, the conversions to POT or MO files must be done one file at a time.To use it, you'll obviously need to install Pology (see links below). You'll also need to add Pology 'bin' folder to your paths (e.g. 'export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:/opt' and 'export PATH=$PATH:/opt/pology/bin').The following are not required but will allow you to use all options: gettext, aspell (with a dictionary) and languageTool.You can find help on how to setup Pology on your system:- in English http://techbase.kde.org/Localization/Tools/Pology- in French http://fr.l10n.kde.org/pology.phpTo use this service menu in KDE4:Single-user installation: copy the .desktop files to ~/.kde4/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/System-wide installation: copy the .desktop files to /usr/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/ Requirements: · KDE What's New in This Release: · Uses links in "bin" instead of the .py scripts in "sieve" (change your PATH!) · Opens reports in KWrite once generated, · Can replace normal spaces with non-breaking ones, · Converts and installs MO file to ~/.kde4/share/locale/yourlanguage/LC_MESSAGES, · Passive notification on completion.
