php3guest is a Web guestbook written in PHP using a MySQL backend. php3guest is a Web guestbook written in PHP using a MySQL backend. Entries can easily be edited or removed by the owner via a Web interface. Installation and configuration is easy and well documented.php3guest features modular language support with multiple sample modules (e.g. German, Chinese, Spanish, English, Hungarian, Italian, and Danish) provided. The code is fully documented and is a fine starting point to learn PHP.php3guest is quite easy to use; a little (documented) configuration file will need some simple settings. php3guest's look and feel and language can be modified in it's language packs. Sample language modules forgerman,english,hungarian,chinese,spanish,danish,portuguese,finnish,french,swedish,srpski,turkish,and italianare provided (if the language pack you are looking for is not yet included in the package, feel free to request it from me by email). You probably (hopefully) do not have to change anything in the script itself. Just create a mySQL database and a table (table definition is provided in the package).Requirements:· PHP 4.1.0 or newer· A MySQL database· A webserver capable of serving PHP generated pages (such as Apache)What's New in This Release:· This release adds a number of anti-spamming techniques, so when adding an entry to the guestbook, visitors are now requested to copy a random number displayed as an image.· Additionally, some spam bots are rejected through the session management.
