libYGP Description

Yet another General Purpose library libYGP is a portable general purpose library, written in C++ consisting of:A common one, designed to have no dependencies to the operating system or any library, providing: * A class for communication, * Classes to handle regular expressions (both common and UNIX-file like), * A general parser, * Smart pointers * A class to search directories * A relation-class to relate objectsand the like (designed to be portable).Some classes for the X-windows system (basing on gtkmm (previously known as Gtk--)) like: * An entry field to enter filenames (with completion, analogue to modern browsers), * Formatted entry fields (with validy check), * A ListBox to display files (with an icon based on the type of the file), * A base-class for Applicationsand whatsoever. This part might be able to be used under Windows (as GTK+ and GTKMM have been ported to Windows), though I've never tried it.Support for CORBA. There are objects to represent a file and to search directories (tested (and seems to work) with MICO). This part is at the moment not maintained (and hardly present anyway).
