True Black Description

A dark GTK theme for GNOME. True Black is a modified color scheme based of the "ThinAndMild" theme's control set and "Black" theme's window borders.Best if combined with either Human or Gartoon icon sets.Developer commentsI developed this color scheme as I've never been able to find anything that will use true dark colors for all its rendering, and many of the ones that use black schemes are heavily filled with a lot of bombastic designs that divert the attention from the important parts of the working scenario to the design itself. This is meant to be a robust looking theme with a clean sofisticated appeal.I know it's not reeeeally black (despite its name) but a dark aproach to cleanliness. Thanks to the developers of ThinAndMild and Black, which I used and/or modified.* Firefox needs some tweaking for input text fields and others, which don't respect the theme's scheme and show black text on dark background, making it impossible to read what your typing. These lines need to be added to "userContent.css" or your ~/.mozilla/firefox/profile/chrome folder. If you don't have a "userContent.css" file there (highly probable), just copy-paste "userContent-example.css" as "userContent.css", and edit it to add these lines:.submit, input {color: #CCCCCC ! important;background: #343434 !important;}Thanks again to Richard Kolkovich for enduring "CSS hell" for this.About GNOME:GNOME is an international effort to build a complete desktop environment—the graphical user interface which sits on top of a computer operating system—entirely from free software. This goal includes creating software development frameworks, selecting application software for the desktop, and working on the programs which manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management.GNOME is part of the GNU Project and can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, most notably Linux, and as part of Java Desktop System in Solaris. The name originally stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment, though this acronym is deprecated. The GNOME project puts heavy emphasis on simplicity, usability, and making things “just work”. Requirements: · gtk+ · GNOME What's New in This Release: · Added GtkWigdet option for cursor color. Now the cursor is light grey against the dark background (I missed that the first time). Thanks to Richard Kolkovich for its input and code. · Changed Check and Spin buttons color choice to make them easier to see. · "Normal" (unchecked) is now medium gray. "Active" options are light matte blue. · "Prelight" remains a matte medium blue. · Radio button has its own scheme (it used Check and Spin buttons scheme). · Matte blue for "Active", darker grey for "Normal". · Default border for buttons changed to 0. · Added text and focus displacement option for GtkButtons (to make the button appear as a solid object). · All percentaje values were transferred to hex (I don't know, it just makes it easier for me).
