The Freiburg Project Description
An infrastructure to replace shared libraries with a client/server interface. The Freiburg Project is an infrastructure to replace shared libraries with a client/server interface. This system converts a shared library into a "service" using Unix or inet domain sockets for communication. The "service" will be usable by any programming language without additional C programming requirements. An application is a composition of multiple services using an event-based message bus for communication. A service can reside locally or remotely using the "client" or the inetd super-server for startup. What's New in This Release: · This release has code cleanup with minor feature improvements. · Support has been added for "PIPE" communication using socketpair as the default for local communication. · Support has been added for "fork" on TCP/UDS servers to replace the external "astarter" tool. · A lot of new documentation was added.
