A seed stock database mainly developed for researchers in the plant sciences It can also be used by people who handle a lot of different seeds, e.g. garden enthusiasts, seed breeders or seed producers.This project is released under the open source GNU General Public License version 3 (GPL).Installation:These installation instructions are short, but good enough to get you going. I'm not going to explain the basics as loading a database layout into mysql. Read the MySQL manual for that! Same goes for your webserver.Extract this tarball to your webroot directory, change the file permissions to your situation. Make a new database in mysql. Load the setup/seed_vault-1.sql into the database. Move the setup/install.php script to the base directory (..). Modify the install.php to reflect your setup (see the comments in the script for more info). Start your web browser and go to the install.php file. The script should be able to produce a config_file.dba file. Remove the install.php file and setup directory. You should now be able to login to The Digital Seed Vault:Username: adminPassword: SeCrETSecurity:If the system is reachable from a public location, here are some tips to keep everything secure.1) Use SSL to connect to your webserver. See the documentation of your webserver how to set this up.2) Configure the webserver to restrict .inc and .dba files from downloading.
