nxtvepg is a decoder for nexTView EPG, an Electronic TV Programme Guide for the analog domain. nxtvepg is a decoder for nexTView EPG, an Electronic TV Programme Guide for the analog domain (as opposed to the various digital EPGs that come with most digital broadcasts, although you can receive Nextview EPG digitally, too).The project enables you to receive and browse free TV programme schedules for all of the major networks in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Belgium with an analog TV card, without access to the internet. Requirements: · Tcl/Tk 8.3.2 · XawTV 3.48 What's New in This Release: · Several bugs in the Linux driver interface were fixed, which previously made acquisition fail to start on certain Linux installations. · A bug in the Nextview EPG data stream decoder was fixed, which previously sometimes lead to display of corrupt or entirely blank network names. · Various display bugs (related to changes for Tcl/Tk 8.5 compatibility) were fixed, such as incorrectly displayed "special" characters in the main window and configuration dialogs and even a crash upon program start with thread-enabled Tcl/Tk libraries.
