Allows you to create printable calendar pages as a PDF document from any of your images. jPdfCalendar project allows you to create printable calendar pages as a PDF document from any of your images. The iText library is used to create the PDF itself.You can add your own "special days" for each month, customize colors, fonts, borders etc.To create calendar file, you should prepare xml file which structure is described in dtd file. The dtd structure also is described in graphical manner in image file. These information can be found in dtd folder.To create a sample, use bin/createme.sh script. This script will create sample/calendar_public_en_2007.pdf file according to sample/calendar_public_en.xml project and with images from sample/pictures folder.Well-known problemIf image is too large, especially if a hight of image large when page hight, the auto scaling works not properly (the day table is pulled out on the next page). In this case it is necessary to use "scale" tag and set scale factor manually.Additional toolAlso here is some additional tool, PdfImageRipper. This tool has been created to extract (rip) images from PDF files.It uses iText functionality to do it and you can think about it as Front-End-Tool. To use this tool, get bin/imgrip.sh script. Requirements: · Java 2 Standard Edition Runtime Environment · iText What's New in This Release: · There is one minor improvement: an image ('file' tag) may be defined not only as a local file but also as an external resource with URL-style definition (e.g. http://host/picture.jpg).
