dvdrtools is a suite of DVD and CD burning software. dvdrtools is a fork of cdrtools, with the primary goal of supporting writable DVD drives.The initial version was released February 4, 2002.dvdrtools is a suite of software based on cdrtools for writing DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, and CD-RW media.Other modifications compared to cdrtools include: · Replacing the build system with standard autoconf/automake· Cleaning up and stripping down the code· Our primary development platform is Linux, and we like doing things the Linux way (dev=/dev/whatever, not 0,0,0)· Addition of tools for handling video DVDs· We don't believe in artificially extending the life cycle of obsolete technologies (like C compilers that can't even handle ANSI). For the sake of readability, support for some really obsolete systems has been removed.· This is a community project, maintained in a subversion repository. If you wish to join us, you get write access after showing us some code.dvdrtools also includes basic support for mastering video DVDs.What's New in This Release:· 0.3.1 is a bugfix release for 0.3.0. It fixes mostly portability bugs; if you didn't have any problems with 0.3.0, there's no need to update.
