anoX Description
anoX is an open source command-line software written in the Python programming language and designed to let users run games or other 3D applications in another X server. anoX stands for "another X" and it is very useful when someone wants to bypass bugs, such as SDL-based games (like Tremulous) preventing from switching between the desktop and the game, or Wine's windows disappearing when using the Compiz composite window manager. The software is distributed as a source archive, which can be found in the downloads section, as well as via a PPA repository for the Ubuntu Linux operating system: https://launchpad.net/~anox-dev/+archive/ppa
