Xws project is a multi-player Across Lite server with chat. Xws project is a multi-player Across Lite server with chat.Xws is a text mode multi-player crossword and chat server. It presents the same puzzle to everyone, allowing people the option to try and/or discuss solutions. Play may be friendly collaboration or fierce competition, depending on the players' dispositions. Xws supports hundreds of puzzles in the popular Across Lite file format. Copyright issues prevent the distribution from including any puzzles, but several archives and resources are listed in the README. Requirements: · perl 5.004_04 or newer. · POE 0.10 or newer. Here's where to get POE. · A sufficiently POSIX-y operating system; even Windows should do. · Some sort of telnet or mud client, preferrably one with a local edit buffer. Otherwise you'll never get to log into it.
