Webtap is a small command line tool inspired by Mozilla Firefox's "Keyword Shortcuts" feature. Webtap is a command line script inspired by Mozilla Firefox's "Keyword Shortcuts" feature. Its purpose is to facilitate similar keyword based Web browsing from the command line, as a CLI driven front end to your Web browser.The distribution includes a Bash programmable completion file with all of the program's common options as well as the ability to tab through the available keywords.Installation instructions:1. Copy webtap somewhere in your $PATH, such as /usr/local/bin cp webtap /usr/local/bin and (make sure the x bits are set).2. For Bash completion copy webtap.bash_completion to system's /etc/bash_completion.d path. cp webtap.bash_completion /etc/bash_completion.d/webtap3. Copy .webtapurls and .webtapcfg to your $HOME path. cp .webtap* $HOME/At this point webtap is ready for use. Customize your .webtapurls and .webtapcfg files and enjoy!Usage: webtap < action > ...actions: open < keyword > < %s > - specify keyword(s) and any additional parameters. list - list keywords.options: -c, --command < command > specify command to handle URL request(s). --dry-run do nothing, only print commands. -h, --help display this help message. -v, --version display version information. < keyword > can be multiple keywords seperated by commas (e.g. keyword 'google-search, yahoo-search' '%s').
