Web Plings Description

Visualizing Plings Data on the Web Web Plings is a tool for visualizing plings data on the web.Plings data contains information about places to go and things to do for young people. This project explores ways of visualising that data on the webThe project uses PHP and XHTML to display data from the Plings API data feeds. We also use MagpieRSS and clsParse to help parse XML and RSS feeds. Scriptaculous is currently deployed for a bit of visual fun.We also use google maps, and hope to incorporate OpenStreetMap.The main focus of the project is to find different ways of displaying the data and to allow people to make their own web interface (e.g. to incorporate it into their own application).
