VStar PhotoAlbum is a Web-based photo album designed for amateur photographers with digital cameras. VStar PhotoAlbum is a Web-based photo album designed for amateur photographers with digital cameras and their own Web server or home page.VStar PhotoAlbum alleviates the need to spend much time creating Web pages to show off photographs, and it automatically makes periodic backups for photos.Requirements:· Web server with PHP 5.0 (or above) language support· GD library support compiled into PHPInstallation:- Create a folder for this program within your website (for example, "PhotoAlbum", which will be accessible from Internet through http://yoursite.com/PhotoAlbum link). Copy content of this package into it.- Create 3 subfolders under it for your original photos, thiumbnails and temporary resized photos. Give to your web server read-only permissions to "photos" folder and read-write permissions to "thumbnails" and "temp".- Edit settings.php file, according to required settings and own taste. Descriptions are inside.- That's it, you are ready to go.Limitations:· Program supports 4 image formats: JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNG. It is limited to whatever formats GD library can handle. All other formats are ignored.· If you have TIFF's coming out from your camera - probably, you are much professional, than I am, and either have to convert them into one of supported formats or need something else to use.What's New in This Release:· The consistency checking method was improved to reduce thumbnail regeneration time.· Info files now contain detailed information about the sizes of each picture/thumbnail, which allows regenerating only for selected thumbnails within a folder.· Old info files get automatically converted into a new format.· CSS style definition and an example of a CSS file were added.· Free-of-charge Bitstream Vera TTF Fonts were added into the package.· A bug with lock file generation for nonexistent thumbnail folders was fixed.· A few typos in a language definition file were fixed.
