TagBrowser Description

TagBrowser is a graphical tool to find and display source code symbols generated by Exuberant ctags. TagBrowser is a graphical tool to find and display source code symbols generated by Exuberant ctags.TagBrowser is a graphical application that allows software developers to rapidly find and view code symbols in the context of their original source files.This application is released simultaneously for the Windows, MacOSX,and Linux (Gnome and KDE) platforms. Functionality on each platform isidentical.TagBrowser uses source code symbol information contained in a file called 'tags' that resides in the same directory as the TagBrowser executable. This file is generated by an auxiliary command line tool called "Exuberant ctags"; which is bundled with TagBrowser. The user must use ctags to generate a tags file before TagBrowser can be used.'TagBrowser' provides a graphic user interface to allow the user to easily search for a symbol contained in the tags file, and then filter the search results on the basis of file name, file extension, symbol kind, symbol scope.TagBrowser has been implemented to support localizations, but other languages have not yet been done. The localization mechanism works on Windows and Linux, but not Mac.On the mac platform, the executable is offered as a Universal Binary meaning that it can without translation on both PowerPC and Intel processors.
