Serviio Description

Serviio is a free graphical software written in the Java programming language and designed to act as a useful media server, which allows users to stream their media (music files, videos or images) across multiple devices and platforms. Serviio supports the following renderers: Samsung TVs (supports additional features, e.g. subtitles), Samsung Bluray players, Sony TVs, Panasonic TVs, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, LG Bluray players, WDTV Live, Oppo BDP-83, MusicPal and DirecTV DVR. Serviio supports the following media files: MP3( .mp3), Windows Media Audio (.wma), MPEG-1 (.mpg, .mpeg), MPEG-2 PS (.mpg, .mpeg, vob, mod), MPEG-2 TS (.ts, .m2ts), MPEG-4 (.mp4, m4v, mov), AVI (.avi, .divx), Windows Media Video (.wmv, .asf), Matroska (.mkv) and JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg). To start the Serviio server execute the bin/serviio.sh file from the extracted folder (with -stop attribute to stop a running instance). To start the console run bin/serviio-console.sh.
