ScramDisk Description
A suite of Linux tools and a graphical user interface (GUI) which allow the creation and access to ScramDisks. ScramDisk for Linux (SD4L) is a suite of Linux tools and a graphical user interface (GUI) which allow the creation of, and access to ScramDisk encrypted container files. In particular, SD4L provides a Linux driver which enables mounting ScramDisk containers.ScramDisk for Linux also encrypts partitions on a hard disk or storage media such as USB sticks or floppy disks entirely as devices. Version 1.0, moreover, supports TrueCrypt containers. What's New in This Release: · A container timeout has been added to ScramDisk. If a timeout is set on mounting a container, the container will be automatically unmounted after a period of inactivity which lasted the given time (Tracker 1861646). · The NTFS filesystem is now supported by ScramDisk. The NTFS filesystem driver is, of course, required to use this feature (Tracker 1876744). · The default font size of the ScramDisk GUI has been set to 9 pt (Tracker 1823790). Moreover, size, position and font size of the GUI have been made configurable. · The API change in kernel 2.6.24 has been taken into account. ScramDisk now works with kernel 2.6.24 (Tracker 1880449).
