ScenePainter is a software for creating comics. ScenePainter is a software for creating comics by (re-)arranging prefabricated graphic elements, taken from a media library. Other popular uses include creating (animated) forum avatars for players of the online games Yohoho!Puzzle Pirates and Bang!Howdy or checking out newly released artwork and color combinations in these games. In it's current version, the software depends on the graphic files shipping with the aforementioned products being present.Links to some beautiful examples of what can be done with ScenePainter, can be found on the resources page.Besides being a fun toy, ScenePainter can also be used as a developer tool for programmers and artists that are building MMORPG games or MUD's using threering's nenya library.Please note the following:· Scenepainter is neither a threerings product, nor endorsed or supported by them.· ScenePainter currently does not ship with any resourcefiles. Unless you create your own, you'll have to get them elsewhere. In this case remember, that copyrighted material is subject to copyright laws and therefore requires permission to use from the copyright holder. Out of the box, ScenePainter supports the MMORPG games Y!PP and Bang! Howdy by threerings design as a media source. If you download the software, don't forget to download and install the plugin package as well.Requirements:· Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5 or later
