Saddle Description
Saddle is an intelligent GUI for mounting/unmounting devices. Saddle is a gui tool for mounting devices under Linux. It uses SDL so you get pretty graphics, a has some real intelligence so you don't need to understand how mounting works at all, or write config files or nothing. For example, if you run it as a non-root user, it will only show user-mountable devices. Here are some key features of "Saddle": · No configuration needed, works out of the box on any system (I said it was intelligent) · Normal users see only user-mountable devices · Root sees all devices · Knows which items in fstab not to show (/proc, /sys etc.) · Can handle network mounts · Low resources (fast) · Compatible with any desktop environment · Themeable. Requirements: · SDL · Xmessage (or command-line compatible replacement) · Konqueror (or any other file manager)
