Rakarrack is a guitar effects processor for GNU/Linux. Rakarrack is a guitar effects processor for GNU/Linux simple and easy to use but it contains features that make it unique in this field of applications. It integrates a tuner and a MIDI converter (experimental). It can also be handled by an external MIDI controller. The settings designed by the user can be stored in presets and these presets can be used to create banks of effects.Most of the effects are based on the magnificent work done by Paul Nasca Octavian in ZynAddSubFX synthesizer. The compressor is based on ArtsCompressor of Matthias Kretzer & Stefen Westerfeld. The tuner was adapted from tuneit, a tuner in text mode created by Mario Lang. Paul Nasca is our hero and a continuous inspiration. Requirements: · ALSA driver · FLTK · Jack audio connection kit What's New in This Release: · New features include up to 84 MIDI control parameters, some GUI and configuration improvements, and a documentation rewrite. · Bugs that were fixed include excessive CPU usage when no signal is received, MIDI implementation, draw things, shortcuts, and other minor bugs.
