The project is designed with layered modules that provide a flexible architecture for deployment.The RHQ project delivers a core user interface that delivers audited and historical management across an entire enterprise. A Server/Agent architecture provides remote management and plugins implement all specific support for managed products. Here are some key features of "RHQ": · Provides information about your environment's managed resources · Metric data that provides you a view into the performance of your resources · Timing data that provides information on how well your resources can process requests · Allows you to view, edit and rollback configuration of your resources · Allows you to control your resources (e.g. start and stop) · Capturing discreet events that occur on your managed resources · Notifications to alert you of out-of-bounds or warning conditions occurring in your environment · Push content onto your managed resources (e.g. install Linux rpms, J2EE EARs, etc) · Group your resources into manageable subsets · Provide fine grain control allowing only approved users access to resources What's New in This Release: · This release adds a number of new features and enhancements, including high-availability management via clusters of RHQ servers, increased performance and reliability, user interface improvements such as a DynaGroup wizard, and bugfixes. · It also adds new plugins for monitoring SSH, JIRA, Oracle, Hudson, and other projects.This a recommended upgrade.
