PushSite provides an utility to update remote site. PushSite provides an utility to update remote site.Pushsite is intended for updating remote websites -- it's like mirroring but in reverse. It only sends the changed/new files to conserve bandwidth. Of course, it has other applications too (e.g. software distribution).PushSite can detect changes to files held on the local system and update a copy on a remote system via FTP. It can also detect changes made directly to the remote site (basic intrusion detection). Only the amended files are updated thereby conserving bandwidth.Requirements:· Perl 5What's New in This Release:· Date conversion bug - the billenium bug fix was flawed in its calculation of dates for files less than 6 months old from last year. As with the billenium bug the worst thing to happen was that bandwidth was wasted. · Single connection to FTP server. Formerly PushSite would connect once to collect the file list from the remote system, disconnect, then connect again if any updates were required. However some FTP server configurations would not allow two logons to the same account in such a short interval. PushSite now only connects once.
