PYBAG Description
A portable bag PYBAG can be used to copy one's files and folders to a portable device and then synchronize its contents with the original one.If synchronization conflicts occur they will be reported.You can specify rules for automatic conflict resolve - use newer or older file, specify direction for writing changes.Program is crossplatform and independent from OS and filesystem. You may easily synchronize files between Windows and Linux for example.Symbolic link is really supported on the all OS ( if OS or filesystem doesn't support symlink then they will be emulated).This program has command line interface.To work with PYBAG you must create a bag folder where you will keep your files copies and copy pybag.py file into that directory. Initialize bag folder with the following command: python pybag.py -dist -i -m0 Requirements: · Python What's New in This Release: · Added splitter between log window and other elements (GUI). · Improve "--sync" interactive menu: added "v" command. · In command "--sync" now if canceled "n" report reading and comparing duration. · Reading, comparing, synchronization and Statistics results now show in verbosity level "1" and upper ( up to "5"). · When read DB now skip wrong lines (previous was fill empty values.) · When run without options - try start GUI. · Unicode conversion now in "replace" mode (previous was in "strict" mode and sometimes may be generated error about conversion). Bugs fixed: · #0002: Get error when read files with '#' symbol. · #0003: After Add/Remove root in emulation mode do not load config file. · #0004: Wrong save duration in "sync" command report. · #0005: Symlink was not be ignored if set ignore symlink.
