"Lorem ipsum" text is also known as "lipsum" text.How to install and run the Lorem Ipsum GeneratorIf you run a Red-Hat-based (e.g. Fedora Core, SUSE, etc.) or Debian-based Linux (e.g. Ubuntu) distribution, you can use the RPM or DEB packages:· Ensure that you have Python, GTK+ and PyGTK installed · Download and install either the RPM or DEB packages that are available. · A shortcut can be found in your Application menu in the "Other" category. · Alternatively the program can be started with the command lorem-ipsum-generator (which is ordinarily installed under /usr/bin) Otherwise, you can use the source packages available: · Ensure that you have Python, GTK+, PyGTK and Python Distutils installed · Download and extract the source package (the .tar.gz or .tar.bz2 files). · Open up a terminal and navigate to the extracted directory. · Run the command python setup.py install with super-user priveledges (i.e. use su or sudo) · A shortcut can be found in your Application menu in the "Other" category. Alternatively the program can be started with the command lorem-ipsum-generator (which is ordinarily installed under /usr/bin) Requirements: · Python · PyGTK What's New in This Release: · As of version 0.3 there is now a command-line interface to the Lorem Ipsum Generator. · By default, calling lorem-ipsum-generator with no command-line arguments will open the GUI. Calling lorem-ipsum-generator with the -p or -s arguments will generate paragraphs or sentences of text and print it to the terminal, without loading the GUI. Providing any command-line arguments in addition to the --gui option will apply the effects of the arguments and then load the GUI.
