Greyhound-Ubuntu is an 100% free and open source, Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS based Linux operating system designed especially for penetration testing tasks. Greyhound-Ubuntu uses Linux kernel 3.5.0-23, modified to make some of the included utilities to work. It includes around 300 tools for all-round pentest performance, and three desktop environments: Unity, GNOME Classic, and GNOME 3. It is user friendly, includes all the important plugins, such as video and audio codec, Bangla avro-keyboard, Cobalt Strike with cortana scripts, Nessus, Netools.sh, latest SE toolkit, launch and migrate module, and auto exploit module. Greyhound-Ubuntu is distributed as a single Live DVD ISO image, supporting only the 32-bit architecture. The usernames used in this distro are greyhound and root with the password toor.
