GeoToad provides a geocaching query tool. GeoToad provides a geocaching query tool.GeoToad is a geocaching query tool to help speed up the boring part of geocaching: choosing the cache and collecting the data. It allows you to generate any kind of complex query you want, and the program will go and poll the Geocaching query, grab the data, and output it to any format you want. The Geocache info can be synced straight to your GPS, iPod, PDA, or cell phone in over 20 different formats. Here are some key features of "GeoToad": · Query Types We allow you to query based on most all the information available in a geocache: · zipcode, state, coordinates · distance from zipcode or coordinates · filter by difficulty minimum/maximum · filter by terrain minimum/maximum · filter by "fun factor", which uses Bayesian analysis to determine if the comments for the geocache reflect it's level of fun. · keyword search (not just the title!) · filter out caches that have or have not been completed by certain people (usually yourself) · filter by whether or not a cache has ever been found · filter by the date the cache was placed · filter by the date the cache was last found · filter by travelbug · Devices Through our various file format support, we allow you to upload your query output to a wide array of devices: · Any GPS Unit · Palm PDA's via CacheMate or other tools. · PocketPC · Apple iPod · Cellphone's, such as the Sony-Ericsson P800. · You may want to checkout the screenshots section to see how the output looks like on various devices. What's New in This Release: · This release adds a new filter (cacheType). · It has been synced with the latest changes to the Geocaching.com website. · Broken ampersand munging for XML output types (GPX and KML) has been fixed, and there is improved behaviour when run in disconnected mode.
