Eatmonkey is an open source graphical software written in Ruby/GTK2 and designed to act as a download manager that only supports the aria2 command-line utility. It supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, Metalink and BitTorrent files. Eatmonkey features an advanced settings dialog for the manager, prompts an options dialog when adding new downloads, implements a notification icon for the manager, separate floating icon application, a command-line tool to replace curl and wget, as well as UPnP support for automatic NAT redirection. At the moment, the software supports download, remove and pause functionality for files.
