Daptup Description

Aptitude update changes Daptup is a Debian-specific utility that allows you to see changes in new and upgradeable lists after aptitude update.It can also 'watch' for specified non-installed packages and check for outdated packages.Daptup runs "apt-get update" inside and then outputs four lists:- packages came to archive with this update;- new upgradeable packages;- changes in "watched" packages (not installed, such packages have to bespecified in configuration file);- outdated packages that have a new install candidate (optionally).To use it, just install package and run "daptup" with root privileges. Starting with version 0.8.0, command 'apt-get update' will call daptup within update process automatically.
