DBL Browser project is an offline browser for digital bibliographic libraries. DBL Browser project is an offline browser for digital bibliographic libraries.The DBL-Browser (Digital Bibliographic Library Browser) offers the user the ability to browse a digital library, like the DBLP (http://dblp.uni-trier.de), while offline. It provides a user-friendly interface, smart search functions, and several textual and graphical visualization models to assist the user in retrieving desired publications.The DBL-Browser has been developed using Java within the NetBeans platform framework and is still under development. The DBLP data file can be obtained from this site which is updated regularly – up to 2 times a month. Here are some key features of "DBL Browser": · Browse offline more than 800,000 Publications and about 490,000 authors from DBLP · Easy to use - browse and navigate like any web-browser · All authors, conferences/journals, and title words are linked · Provides information about relationships between authors, conferences or journals · Fast and powerful search functions · Links to more than 175,000 full-texts or abstracts · Links to homepages of nearly 8,600 authors Requirements: · 384MB main memory (the more the better!) · Java-Runtime-Environment (JRE) version 1.4.x (or 5.x) installed
