A Gentoo-based Russian Live CD Linux Distribution Calculate Linux is a Gentoo-based Linux distribution and Live DVD whose goal is to be easy to use, install and update on any number of computers.Calculate Linux Scratch (CLS) is the booting livecd disk intended for building your own distribution with the necessary software, which give your possibility of its record on LiveCD or USB-Flash. CLS has a base set of the components, which are necessary for creation livecd with installations support of system on a hard disk. In the distribution has used the original approach for environment creation of assemblage for the new system, which is based on division of levels of work on layers unionfs.Possibilities1. The distribution includes only a base set of appendices: Xorg, Firefox, the drivers, library, portages and kernel source codes. CLSG version includes the addition reduced version of Gnome desktop, GDM and Wicd.2. Assemblage of appendices can be carried out in a separate unionfs-layer in an interactive mode. The collected system is packed in ISO an image, suitable for record on CD or USB-Flash, with support installation on a hard disk.3. Possibility to change the squashfs system image on USB-Flash, updating the software without hard disk use.4. Using the installation profiles you can configure this distribution for any tasks.5. CLS is compatible with Gentoo on 100%. As the packages manager uses Portage.
